Owner/Dance Instructor

Michele Fincher is a wife and a mother of one daughter. She began dancing at Valley View at the age of 5, and continued dancing there until she graduated from Shawnee Mission South. A member of the Showstoppers performing company and Valley View’s competition team, Michele and her company friends often dreamed about owning the studio one day! Michele’s lifelong dance passion has been tap dance. She was fortunate to be able to study with the amazing Henry LeTang while obtaining her Minor in Dance at UNLV. She has studied with many outstanding tap professionals throughout her career including Honi Coles, Savion Glover, Dianne Walker, Sarah Petronio, Tommy Tune and many others. Michele purchased Valley View in 2015 after teaching there for nearly 20 years. She is passionate about continuing the proud tradition of providing quality dance education to all who want to dance and maintaining an atmosphere that not only challenges students but nurtures them. She is proud that Valley View is a catalyst for dance careers, stage careers, life long friendships and many amazing memories. You can live your dreams! 

Dance Instructor/Acro Coach

Sharon started her dancing career at the age of 7 at Valley View Dance Studio, where she trained in advanced jazz, ballet, tap and tumbling. She was an Advanced Tumbling Champion and AAU Power Tumbling Champion, as well as an assistant coach at the age of 13. Sharon was a member of the Pacesetter dance team at Shawnee Mission South and continued her dance training at the University of Kansas in jazz, ballet and lyrical. After college graduation, Sharon returned to her love of dance as an instructor, teaching gymnastics, tumbling, ballet and jazz in the Kansas City area. She has been at Valley View for more than 25 years, where she coaches the acro/tumbling competition team and the M.A.T.S. team, as well as teaches jazz, ballet and tap classes. During her time at Valley View, Sharon has coached more than 10 Tumbler of the Year winners, has trained national award-winning acrobat soloists, and has been the co-instructor and choreographer of national award-winning hip-hop/acro teams. Sharon also serves as a routine coordinator for M.A.T.S. 

Dance Instructor

Natalie started dancing at Valley View Dance Studio when she was three years old and continued to dance until she graduated high school in 2012. While at Bishop Miege she was a four-year member of the Lady Stags Dance Team and captain her junior and senior years. After graduation she went on to Wichita State University where she continued her dance training, taking classes in tap, ballet, jazz, modern, and hip hop. She graduated in 2017 with a degree in Psychology. She is currently the head dance team coach at Bishop Miege High School. She is so excited to return and continue coaching our award winning (2nd-place national finish) tap team.
